Move-in and move-out cleaning

When to book it

Move-in and move-out cleaning is about the handover. Book it before someone starts living in a home, after belongings have been moved out, or at the end of a tenancy before the unit is handed back. Homeowners, tenants, landlords and agents use it to prepare an HDB flat, condo or landed home for sale, handover or the next occupant. It also suits a new BTO or resale flat before you move in.

End of tenancy and the deposit

At the end of a tenancy, the unit is usually inspected before the deposit is settled. A clean, cleared unit makes that handover easier, but cleaning cannot repair damage, replace missing items or decide whether a deposit is returned. Read your tenancy agreement and any inventory list first, and keep repairs separate from cleaning.

Standard move-in and move-out cleaning does not include heavy stain removal, high-rise exterior window cleaning or moving heavy furniture. If the unit has unusual cleaning concerns, send photos before booking so we can tell you whether it can be handled, needs a separate quote, or falls outside this service.

What to send for a quote

• Unit type and approximate floor area
• Number of bedrooms and toilets
• Photos of the current condition
• Whether the unit is empty, occupied or partly furnished
• Move-in, move-out or handover date, and preferred timing
• Priority areas, such as the kitchen, toilets, cabinets, floors or appliance exteriors
