More about mosquito control

Breeding sources come first

Mosquitoes may show up indoors, on balconies or patios, or near gardens, containers, drains and water features. The ones you see do not reveal where they breed, and activity can come from neighbouring or shared areas.

Source reduction, finding and managing unnecessary standing water and the places where water collects, is the foundation. We can remove accessible standing water within the agreed scope. Other findings may need changes by you, your landlord, managing agent or MCST, and we will say which is which. Mosquito activity does not by itself mean the resident caused it.

Treatment options

After the assessment, the plan may include breeding-site checks and advice, larval treatment, traps and monitoring, and ULV misting or thermal fogging where suitable. Not every method suits every property.

Fogging is not automatic. Where thermal fogging is suitable, KleanSG handles the required NEA notification and coordinates advance notices and precautions with you and any affected premises, so scheduling must allow for the notice period.

Agreed work may begin on the first visit when the findings and site conditions allow. You receive a service report recording the findings, work done and recommendations.

What to send for a quote

  • a photo or short video of the activity
  • a wider view of the affected room, balcony, patio or garden
  • standing water, drains, containers or plant trays you suspect
  • whether the area is private, shared or public
  • when and how often you notice the activity
  • children, pets, aquariums, food areas or access limits

Our home pest photo checklist covers what to photograph safely. Preparation and re-entry depend on the method chosen; we give you the instructions before work begins.

What customers say

“Great professional service… I was worry at first how the pest control could be done while I am overseas but they did a throughout onsite inspection and servicing, and then sent me back the details (with photos) via WhatsApp. They also did a follow-up chat with me to check if there is an infestation…”

“Great service! The point of contact was very patient and answered to all my queries. Did a very good job of exterminating the cockroaches in my house. They also applied chemicals to prevent further infestation. Will recommend to others!”

Common questions

Does every mosquito problem need fogging?

No. Fogging only affects adult mosquitoes it reaches. It does not remove standing water or stop new adults emerging from a breeding source, so assessment and source reduction come first.

Why does mosquito activity come back?

Activity may continue if standing water or an external breeding source remains, or mosquitoes may come in from neighbouring or shared areas outside your control. Any follow-up depends on the findings and later activity.

Do you treat condo common areas or public spaces?

It depends on who controls the area. Corridors, common gardens, shared drains and public land may need action by the managing agent, MCST, owner or relevant authority. Tell us where the activity is and we will confirm whether it falls within our scope.
