More about rat and rodent control

Inside your home or a common area?

  • Inside your unit or private area: send us the details for assessment.
  • HDB void deck, public drain, bin centre or park: report it through OneService.
  • Condo corridor, bin area, garden or car park: notify the managing agent or MCST. Residents should not arrange work on shared property without their authority.
  • Restaurant or food premises: see F&B pest control.

Signs to share safely

Signs include sightings, droppings, gnaw marks, damaged food packaging, nesting material, tracks and repeated noises in a ceiling or wall. Send a photo or short video, a close view of the sign, a wider view of the area and any possible entry route, and tell us when and how often it happens.

Do not touch a live or dead animal, droppings or an unfamiliar device to get a photo, and keep children and pets away from the area. Our home pest photo checklist covers what is safe to photograph.

How the control plan is set

There is no standard approach for every home. After checking the accessible signs and areas, we quote the control method, included areas, checks or follow-up, your responsibilities and exclusions. Work can start once the findings support it and you have agreed the scope. Roof spaces, false ceilings, private drains, rubbish-chute routes and external areas may have access or ownership limits.

Tell us whether you are the owner, tenant, landlord or authorised representative, and about children, pets, aquariums, previous control work or existing devices. Do not move or open a control device unless the written instructions say so.

Entry routes and repairs

Rodents can return while food, water, waste, shelter or entry routes remain. We may advise on protecting food and pet food, containing waste, reducing clutter and closing accessible gaps. Repairs and work on shared structures stay with the owner, landlord, MCST or another contractor. Rodent activity does not automatically mean a home is dirty.

What customers say

“Great professional service… I was worry at first how the pest control could be done while I am overseas but they did a throughout onsite inspection and servicing, and then sent me back the details (with photos) via WhatsApp. They also did a follow-up chat with me to check if there is an infestation…”

“Great service! The point of contact was very patient and answered to all my queries. Did a very good job of exterminating the cockroaches in my house. They also applied chemicals to prevent further infestation. Will recommend to others!”

Common questions

There is a rat in my HDB block. Can you help?

If the activity is inside your unit, yes. For a void deck, public drain, bin centre, park or other public area, report it through OneService with the exact location, time, number seen and a photo or video if it is safe to take.

Who handles a trapped or dead rodent?

Where devices are installed, we check them weekly. If there is a capture before the next check, notify the technician and we will retrieve and dispose of it under the agreed scope. No fixed response time is promised.

Do I need to know if it is a rat, mouse or shrew?

No. Norway rats, roof rats, house mice and the Asian house shrew are easily confused, and a photo or a noise in the ceiling rarely confirms which. Let the technician assess the signs instead of trying to catch the animal.
