More about F&B pest control

What a monthly contract covers

KleanSG runs monthly pest control for restaurants, cafes, food courts, hawker stalls, central and cloud kitchens, catering kitchens, bakeries and food factories. Each visit covers inspection of the usual risk areas (food preparation, storage, drains and waste points), treatment where needed and advice to reduce future activity. Common concerns are cockroaches, rodents, flies, ants and mosquitoes.

We support existing outlets and new openings that need a pest-control contract in place before operations begin. KleanSG is an NEA-registered Vector Control Operator, registration VCO20220007. See our credentials.

A service report after every visit

Your outlet team gets a record it can keep on file, showing:

  • service date and visit sequence
  • inspection findings
  • treatment or control work done
  • recommendations and follow-up points

To see the format, open our sample service report (PDF, one page). It is a privacy-safe sample reconstructed from a genuine February 2026 F&B report, with the client name and address removed. It is a routine visit report, not a comprehensive pest management survey report.

Between visits, staff can record sightings in our free pest-sighting log template (Word or PDF). Share the reference numbers with the technician, so the log and the report can be checked against each other.

Monthly visits and six-monthly surveys

SFA’s Food Shop Pre-Licensing Requirements (PDF) say the pest-control contract should cover rodents, cockroaches and flies for at least 12 months, with at least monthly inspection or treatment. A signed contract is one of the documents SFA asks for before it licenses a food shop. Our guide to applying for an SFA food shop licence explains where it fits.

That is separate from the Environmental Sanitation (ES) Regime, under which covered premises need a comprehensive pest management survey by a registered Vector Control Operator at least once every six months. Whether the survey applies depends on your premises category, so do not assume it for every restaurant or cafe. If you need both, we quote them separately.

How to get a quote

Send your premises type, location, operating hours and preferred service timing, and we will reply with a one-year quotation.

For daily outlet checks, use our F&B pest control checklist. If the kitchen also needs cleaning, see commercial kitchen cleaning.

Common questions

What does my team need to prepare before a visit?

Usually very little. Let staff know we are coming and give access to the treatment areas. If a treatment needs food or utensils protected or removed, we tell you beforehand. Follow your outlet's food-safety procedures before resuming work.

Will pest control disrupt service at my outlet?

Visits are planned around your operating hours and food-preparation areas. Treatment can be scheduled after hours or off-peak; mention this when you ask for a quote.

How often should an F&B business have pest control?

Usually at least once a month. Our F&B contracts cover monthly inspection and treatment, from $85 a month or $1,020 a year before GST.

What is included in monthly F&B pest control?

Monthly inspection and treatment for cockroaches, rodents and flies, with ant and mosquito treatment support and a service report after every visit. $85 a month ($1,020 a year) before GST is the starting price on a one-year contract. What your premises gets is set in its quote.

Can you provide the pest-control contract for a new SFA licence?

Yes. We support new outlets that need a contract in place before operations begin. SFA's food-shop pre-licensing requirements ask for a signed contract covering rodents, cockroaches and flies for at least 12 months, with at least monthly inspection or treatment.
